How flexible is the installation in terms of height, cavity depth, and layout?
The cassettes have adjustable legs, allowing the height to be raised or lowered to suit the cavity, and cavity depth is very flexible as the visual effect does not change. Units can be installed into custom joinery as long as ventilation is maintained and the vapour is not sealed behind glass. Double‑sided installations are also possible (refer to the manual).

What ventilation and service access requirements need to be considered?Ventilation size and placement must follow the manual, but designers can integrate or conceal it as long as the required ventilation area is maintained. Service access is from the top, and the cassette can be lifted out of the cavity in all installation types.

What materials and glass options are suitable around the fireplace?
Any materials can be used, including timber framing and all plasterboard types, as the unit does not produce heat. Glass is not included, and the vapour must not be fully sealed behind glass to avoid condensation. Any glass type is suitable as long as one side remains open.

How does the water system work, and is plumbing recommended?
The unit can operate as either plumbed or tank‑fill (see manual). Tank‑fill models typically require refilling every 6–8 hours. Plumbing is recommended for commercial or hospitality environments where continuous operation is expected.

How realistic is the flame, what configurations are available, and what maintenance is required?
The flame effect looks very realistic, even in daylight. Cassettes are available in 500 and 1000 sizes, and up to five units can be daisy‑chained for larger openings. Long‑term maintenance includes cleaning the bottle/tank every two weeks and occasional transducer replacement. The units are suitable for commercial use but cannot integrate with switches or home automation.

How can I connect multiple units?
You can daisy chain and connect up to 5 units. Each cassette is provided with a linking cable that helps the cassettes connect to a single remote control. You just need to ensure that only one Teather control is plugged into the left most cassette and remote synced to that controller.

Do I have to clean the tank or sump?
Yes, it is recommended to clean the tank and the sump every 2 weeks for the optimum functionality of the unit.
